Human Rights in Tourism
„All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.“
(Article 1, Universal Declaration of Human Rights)
Human rights matter – also in tourism
Whether due to the awareness of clients, investors or critical media-businesses are increasingly confronted with the question of how they can respect human rights when carrying out their business activities. Human rights issues are not only significant in the international political arena and for public awareness, but are also becoming increasingly important in corporate governance.
For many businesses in the tourist industry, it no longer matters whether but rather how they address their human rights responsibility. The Roundtable Human Rights in Tourism wants to support companies in their effort to address their responsibility.
